Introducing the new era of tools in the collectibles world
Tired of missing out on sports cards releases?
Regret you didn’t buy before it sold out?
Possibly regret paying too much as well?
With the new format of NBA Prizm FOTL release lets go over some things…
QTY RELEASING – 6800
Starting Price $1000 (will lower every 2 mins to a floor of $250)
What this means for the release…
-There will be 4 silvers, 3 autos (FOTL), and 3 Prizm (FOTL)
-There will not be any other colors or chases
-There is only 1 pack per box with 10 cards
-Without knowing the auto run here and assuming wont be 300 card auto set this would mean the blue non numbered prizm could be as high as /168 or low of /32. If auto run is only 100 card set this means there could be an abundance of blue. They then have ability to move the player and variants to fill spots.
-Odds of a Zion FOTL # auto 1:189 boxes
-Average retail box has more silver (which seems the be the overwhelming value)
Opinion: Our opinion is that this product was intended to be released like Prizm NFL with a $250 MSRP. This “dutch auction” is an attempt to take $5,100,000 out of the collectors hands and not put back into the growth of industry. We believe if consumer is more educated that they will be able to obtain boxes at the lowest possible price-point. Its also our belief that the break value of this box is not favorable even at the original MSRP and especially the new MSRP. Last year FOTL is barely fetching 1k and Luka is $2000 card vs Zion will be $150 silver in next few weeks. We recommend not hitting a price point much above the bottom 20% of price threshold. No one wants to be the person that paid the highest price for this one
